Jan Fortarel provides excellent one-on-one professional hair care services at her salon.  So… Why is my opinion of any value?  Well… About 10 years ago I had my hair attended to at another facility… they think their Clips are Great… and they botched the job so badly that it was almost 6 years before I contemplated letting ANYONE service my hair. I am a 58-Year-Old Man… I run my own business… I meet the general public. That was NOT a good look for me.  Jan was known to me through a mutual acquaintance.  I was apprehensive. The Result: I have not had any reason whatsoever to be anything but completely satisfied with her services.  I have referred others (men and women) for styling & coloring… Jan happens to be one of the best colorists there is.  She corrected a friend’s ‘home-dye-job’ disaster and the results have elicited literal gasps of astonishment from her coworkers.  They were amazed at both the color & texture resultant of Jan’s ministrations.  They ALL wanted to touch her hair… When they did, they found out that it felt even better than it looked.  The Bottom Line:  Jan’s shop is where you go when you are finished with experimentation and you desire supremely competent tonsorial services… PERIOD.

I first came to Jan my freshman year of college. I was the victim of one too many "bargain cuts" with unskilled stylists having no clue how to work with thick, coarse, and curly hair. I have not missed an appointment in 34 years since then, and neither has Jan.  I change my hairstyle pretty regularly and have transitioned from long to short and back again. I can do this with confidence because I trust Jan to always make me look my best. I just wanted to let you know how much you have changed my life!!
